Talley Construction - History

History

Talley Construction Co., Inc. was founded by the late Neal H. Talley in 1964 as a small grading company.  The company was incorporated in 1970 upon Roger N. Talley’s return from military duty in Vietnam.  The company enjoyed small but steady growth during the 1970’s.  During the 80’s, the company expanded into the asphalt business by purchasing an asphalt plant in Rossville, Georgia and later adding two plants in Tennessee.

In 2000, with the addition of younger talent, Talley put in place a more aggressive business plan and expanded the grading division, purchased a bridge company, added 2 asphalt plants and purchased 50% of a trucking company. Today Talley serves customers including Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama DOT’s, local governments, private developers, and corporate entities from a corporate headquarters in Rossville, Georgia and an area office in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
